2. Cut Wilson's hair
I really liked Wilson's hair long, but when we got back from Hawaii, I couldn't believe how long it was and knew it needed a good trim. I think Court was trying to get his little son to sport the classic Jonny Denver look for as long as possible.
I miss the long soft locks, but it is nice to see his eyes and ears again.
We have had a busy couple of months. At the end of January we went to Utah for my sweet Grandma Katie's funeral. She was such an amazing lady and went peacefully after 97 years. Just last summer she was mowing her own lawn and playing with the great grandkids. I was so lucky to have such a unique, loving, grandma who taught me about the value of family and love.
While in Utah we enjoyed some much needed sun and play time with cousins.
The whole family rode my brother Jeff's tour bus down to the funeral and then to the cemetery. It was so nice to all be together and the kids thought it was so fun.
It was a day full of celebration and remembering.
In February, it warmed up over 10 degrees, and so we made it out for a little snowshoe.
We also had a fancy dinner for Valentines day with fancy plates, goblets (I think the first time they have been used since we got them as a wedding present), candles and sparkling cider.
We finished it up with chocolate fondue!
But this is how I spent most of my days. Hanging out with my two little buddies on the floor.
At the beginning of March, we were lucky enough to meet my whole family(no kids, just one sweet baby) in Kauai for spring break. It was amazing and so green and beautiful and WARM. I think it took us two days to thaw out. Jenni and Bentley were great tour guides. We hiked, kayaked, snorkeled, took a boat ride, saw lots of wildlife and just sat and looked at the blue waves. I loved how we were able to enjoy both the mountains and the beach. Wren was a great traveler. I loved feeling her soft skin.
I didn't bring my camera, so these are all pictures from Court's phone. My brother's girlfriend (fiancee YEAH!) was the trip photographer, so hopefully I will get some more from her soon.
So as Wren would say if she could........bring on spring!
